Sparsholt College achieves ISO 14001 with the help of its Environmental Management System
In a recent letter to WinACC, Sparsholt Agricultural College shared its good news at the accreditation of the International Standard ISO 14001, after its introduction of an an Environmental Management System (EMS) which covers all activities undertaken by both Sparsholt and Andover Campus.
This is a fantastic achievement for the College and provides a big step in to ensuring that the College is truly sustainable. Well done Sparsholt !
Sparsholt Agricultural College has sustainability as one of its key values and shares the objective of WinACC to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions. The principal Tom Jackson is oine of WinACC's patrons.
The college recognises its social responsibility with respect to its environmental impact, so introduced the EMS which is designed and implemented in a way that allows the College to achieve continuous improvements with regards to the environment. The College has also been working closely with an external environmental consultancy for the same reason.
The EMS is now fully implemented by the College and has been accredited with the International Standard ISO 14001. The College was also commended by the Auditors for the high level of knowledge held by staff with regards to the environment.
