Heating with wood

Wood-burning stoves can supplement an existing heating system and can also make a wonderful focal point in your living or dining room.  Back-boiler stoves provide heating  for the whole house and/or hot water as well.

Wood-burning boilers are intended to replace your existing gas or oil boiler – they can use either seasoned logs or wood pellets and many of the latter are largely automatic in operation.

Consideration needs to be given to the practicalities of using woodfuel, for example access for log or pellet delivery, log seasoning, storage and manual handling issues.
