Climate scientists at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton have created a simple app that can model the effect of carbon emissions on climate change using any compatible smart phone or tablet. The app makes it easy to see the consequences for CO2, temperature, acidification and sea level to 2100 of any emissions scenario that you like to choose and helps to underscore the importance of the decisions that we make in the next 20 years.

CO2 Modeller is a very simple-to-use tool that is based on a fast scientific climate model developed in Southampton. The user chooses a carbon emissions pathway via the touchscreen and the app projects future warming, sea level rise, atmospheric CO2 and ocean acidification. This all takes less than a second!
