Following the historic international climate deal agreed in Paris in December 2015, Christian Aid is campaiging for the UK Government to turn commitments into reality.

The UK Government admits it is not on track to meet its targets of reducing UK carbon emissions. So Christian Aid is asking people to lobby their local MP to persuade them to:

  • Vote as a Member of Parliament to set a fifth carbon budget that delivers, as a minimum, 61% carbon emission cuts relative to 1990, as recommended by the Committee on Climate Change.
  • Ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change to publish a credible plan showing how all departments are doing their utmost to get back on track to achieve the fourth carbon budget.

To support their campaign, download your 'virtual' local lobbyist pack from the Christian Aid website .
