Dogs, cats and how to save energy
Information from a recent Energy Saving Trust research project showed that
** 53% of dog owners and 47% of cat owners leave the heating on during the day to keep their pets warm
** 26% turn on the radio and 15% turn on the TV to keep pets company
The research showed that leaving the heating on for your pet could add up to £140 on a typical bills. In addition Veterinary Associations advise that neither room heating nor radio/tv are likely to be beneficial for the pets and actually distress them.
