Last year’s 10:10 petition for onshore wind gave them a foot in the door. The government were non-committal, but they weren’t entirely cold on the future of clean energy either.

10:10 says: "The government is dealing a blow to wind, at the expense of jobs, energy prices and its national climate change targets. The government is determined to stop onshore wind in its tracks. As if that wasn’t bad enough, there’s another painful side effect. In order to keep wind out of the game, solar is being dragged down with it.

"So we’re delivering a new petition to Treasury in the lead-up to the March 8th budget. We’re asking the government to stop freezing out onshore wind and solar.
We have a chance to redouble our efforts and clear the way for clean energy. We're ready for round two."
