WinACC has issued its formal response to the 'Consultation on Draft Airports National Policy Statement'.

WinACC believes that a third runway at Heathrow would be putting short to medium term economic benefits first at the cost of the long term. WinACC questions the Governments assumptions on unconstrained growth of passenger and freight air traffic. Indeed, WinACC believes that air travel may well reduce due to worse and more frequent climate events and advancing communications technology.
