WinACC's Built Environment and Transport Action Group response to the latest plans for the proposed Winchester Sport and Leisure Park at Bar End focussed on transport, especially the forecast impact on health from emissions that contribute to climate change and poor air quality. We suggested that it would be better to spend money improving routes that integrate walking into daily life than on creatng a new walking circuit at the site.

Stride Treglown architects, in conjunction with LA architects on behalf of Winchester City Council and the University of Winchester, created exhibition boards (here). WinACC is asking to see the study which, according to the boards, showed that this site is more accessible than River Park.

A summary of the outcomes of previous consultation is here (pdf, 207kb).
