Hampshire Renewable Energy Co-operative Limited has been formed to maximise co-operative and community ownership of new renewable energy generation in the county, and to provide an information about all aspects of renewable energy.

Climate change charity Winchester Action on Climate Change (WinACC) is inviting people to celebrate their exciting year at the AGM and bring-and-share lunch on Saturday, 7 September 2013 at 10:30am at St. Lawrence Parish Room, Colebrook St. SO23 9LH.

People from Winchester District are getting together over coffee and pastries to discuss perhaps the biggest taboo subject of our time: climate change. At the Climate Cafe in St Lawrence's parish hall, Colebrook Street on July 6 starting at 10am, Winchester residents have a chance to share their fears and hopes about the changing climate and look at ways they can make a difference.

Over 40 parents and pupils of Sun Hill Infants school created a cold frame for plants out of recycled drinks bottles on a weekend in March. The children put pictures of flowers and plants to personalise each of the 50 bottles before they were put into the wooden structure put together by handy dads. The event, sponsored by Winchester Action on Climate Change, kick-started the school's Sunshine project, which will lead to building a full size greenhouse made out of used plastic bottles in preparation for the Alresford show.
