Our mission in the WinACC Built Environment and Transport Action Group is to create a sustainable Winchester District with the lowest possible carbon footprint from building developments and transport, direct and indirect.
We show how to make Winchester more sustainable through our research and reports, working with policy-makers and decision-makers.
We draft advice for WinACC to give to Winchester City Council on transport and building developments.
We respond to consultations and initiatives by policy-makers and decision-makers. As well as Winchester City Council, this includes Hampshire County Council which is the Transport Authority responsible for transport across Hampshire; South Downs National Park; the Local Economic Partnerships for Solent and the M3 area; and the Department for Transport and other central government departments.
Our next meeting is on Monday 10 June at 6.00pm so why not come along and find out how you can get involved. For more details contact us at transport@winacc.org.uk.
