SAVE is a two year project funded by Ofgem, the energy industry regulator, to research the best method of communicating energy reduction messages to the public.

Community aspirations

SAVE is providing a dedicated resource person – Community Coach – and associated funding to support positive improvements in local quality of life for two communities within and around the Solent area.

The aims of the project are to make each community more sustainable – whether that be environmentally, socially or economically.

The Mayor cycled to join the residents of Kings Worthy to launch a new community map on Saturday 25 March.   Connecting Kings Worthy will deliver the new map, which will be delivered to everyone in the Worthies to bring the community together and get everyone walking and cycling. 

Kings Worthy took to the streets on Friday 22 July to find the shortest routes around the village, the cheeky shortcuts and where signposts would help.
