A group of finance experts plans to set up a locally-owned and run bank for the benefit of local people.

Future Solent is a joint initiative of the Solent LEP, PUSH and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce to create a low carbon green economy.  Future Solent works at bringing together a variety of initiatives, activities and projects from local authorities, large and small businesses, universities and colleges in the Solent and Isle of Wight region to achieve business growth, create new/safeguard existing jobs, create an appropriate skills base and to achieve measurable carbon reductions. WinACC is delighted that Winchester City Council has commissioned consultants CAG to produce a low carbon economy route map showing how Winchester District can strengthen the green economy whilst contributing to our climate change target of a 30% reduction between 2004 and the end of 2015.

WinACC is pleased to see that Winchester City Council is inviting tenders to produce a road map to a low carbon Winchester, designed to lead to an action plan to deliver our target carbon emissions reduction for the District.
